ConversationBuilder helps elementary-age children who have
trouble conversing with peers in social situations. This app gives the user
options in choosing who begins the conversation (“student” or “peer”) and which
phrase to say to either initiate or keep the conversation going. Conversations
can be four or eight exchanges long.
When the “student” registers to use the app, it asks what
his or her name and interests are. This information personalizes conversations
within the app.
Students record one half of the conversation in each
exchange, and a voice in the app responds. At the end of a series of exchanges,
they can play back the entire conversation and hear their own voices.
ConversationBuilder is available on iPad for $9.99.
