Tappie Puzzles is a wonderful app for children ages 4 and up. It comes with 10 interactive puzzles that help children learn to navigate their way around the world. Most of the puzzles have animals that nod along when the child puts a piece in the correct place and shake their heads when the piece is wrong. Each puzzle scene begins and ends with a fun little animation.
Some puzzles have only one element missing that needs to be pieced together, such as the polar bear’s igloo or the monkey’s bridge. Others are more like a traditional puzzle, with the entire scene needing to be put together. All pieces are dragged and dropped into place by the user. This is not only helpful for developing fine motor skills, Tappie Puzzles also teaches children cause and effect.
One other nice thing about this app is that the age difficulty can be changed, so as a child learns to master the puzzles, parents can raise the age to challenge them again.
