Chiropractic Treatment

The child who is labeled as having ADHD, Aspergers, Autism, Dyslexia and other learning difficulties will generally present with an imbalance of hemispheric function called a "functional disconnection syndrome." Usually, diminished sensory input to one side of the brain begins as retained primitive (neonatal, survival or postural) reflexes. This results in some areas of the brain developing appropriately while others are delayed. In many cases, brain imbalances can cause gut imbalances resulting in altered digestive processes and the creation of food hypersensitivites and picky eating. Picky eaters do not eat the appropriate foods that nourish the body and the brain, and deficiencies ensue. Most of the behaviors we see are the result of these imbalances.
