Winner of the 2010 Irish Web Awards and United Nations World Summit Award Mobile, the Grace App features a picture database for nonverbal people to use to create sentences. Both adults and children with autism will find this app useful for communicating their wants and needs. Grace App comes with a basic vocabulary of pictures, but the cool thing is that the device camera can take customized pictures which can then be stored in the album. The goal of the Grace App is to encourage social interaction, with the user eventually learning to independently communicate vocally and use the pictures as prompts.
Designed for both iPhone and iPad, it can be found in the Education section of the App Store for $37.99.
