The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh – Combo Pack

The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh – Combo Pack

Memorable stories have their roots Deep in the Hundred Acre Wood. That’s where Christopher Robin and his friends (Pooh, Tigger, Eeyore, Piglet, Rabbit, Kanga, Roo, Owl, and others) play and live. This new edition of the classic 1977 film is re-mastered in high definition for this new combo pack, which includes a Blu-ray, a DVD, and a Digital Copy. Seeing all the antics and the wonderful scenery in high def makes all the difference. You might not think that a film like this could be improved but with Blu-ray technology everything is crystal clear and the colors are bright and beautiful.

As we all know, Pooh is a loveable little bear whose greatest pleasure in life, other than spending time with his friends, is eating honey, or Huny. When Pooh has a “rumbly in his tumbly,” you know he has to find some Honey to appease his hunger.

Some of the classic adventures in this clever little film involve Pooh impersonating a “little black rain cloud” to “fool” the bees so he can grab some honey from the honey tree. When he fails, he invites himself to Rabbit’s house where he commences to eat all of Rabbit’s honey. Then, when it’s gone, he tries to leave but gets stuck in the hole. Silly old bear.

If you are a Winnie the Pooh fan, you probably think of windy days as “blustery days” or even “windsdays.” On one particularly blustery day, Owl’s tree house blows down so Eeyore, the ever faithful friend with a heart of gold but a personality of despair, sets out to find a new house for his friend Owl.

In the meantime, Tigger (T-I- double Grrr) bounces onto the scene. He scares Pooh into dreaming about Heffalumps and Woozles.

Through this delightful film, the characters of the Hundred Acre Wood experience rain and a flood, a snowfall where Roo gets to bounce with his new friend Tigger, they honor two heroes: Pooh and Piglet, and learn Christopher Robin will be going off to school soon. Speaking of which, this is a fun “Back-to-school” movie for family viewing.

Pooh is “the most popular character from literature for children.” The beloved stories of Pooh and his friends are set in a world filled with beauty, simplicity, and of course, friendship.

Bonus features on the Blu-ray disc include “Mini” adventures based on the popular film Piglet’s Big Movie.” These are perfect for quick little stories. Another bonus is the Disney Intermission option. Simply press the “pause” button and there are games to play and activities to stir the minds of youngsters. The new Poo Play-Along gets kids off their chairs and moving along with the characters. They follow Pooh in his “Up and Down, Touch the Ground” exercise, they bounce along with Tigger, and they march with Christopher Robin.

I admit I adore Winnie the Pooh and all his friends and adventures. They are entertaining, charming, and memorable. This endearing combo pack is rated “G” and perfect for everyone in your family, from the very young to those in their golden years. Pooh is a delight.
