More Minions = More Fun, Despicable Me 2

Despicable Me 2 is filled with even more minions than in the original. And more minions means more fun. This sequel has all the entertainment of the first film, with even more from the characters audiences have loved and longed to see again, namely the minions and the three girls – Margo, Edith, and little Agnes.

The story has Gru (voiced by Steve Carell) working for the Anti-Villain League to thwart a super criminal who has stolen a secret potion that turns good things into evil. Gru’s partner is Lucy (voiced by Kristen Wiig), a woman who loves danger.

Gru’s attention is divided between his three daughters and finding the villain. Margo is now interested in boys, which bothers this new dad. Edith and Agnes are the same fun-loving little girls we met in the first film. This time, however, they are even more adorable, if that’s even possible.

While Gru and Lucy are trying to locate the villain and the secret weapon, no one notices that the minions are quietly disappearing. Between keeping an eye on Margo, tracing the stolen secret potion, and trying to understand his newfound feelings for his partner, Gru has a lot on his mind.

Despicable Me 2 is rated “PG” for rude humor and mild action. It’s a cute film with a warm and fuzzy ending, punctuated with humor from those adorable little minions. If you liked the first film, you’re going to like this one too.
