Wednesday at Tesero closed with Oksana Masters winning her 22nd Paralympic medal in the 10km, Jake Adicoff and Sydney Peterson each claiming a second gold for Team USA, and the wheelchair curling bronze game at Pinerolo going to Latvia on the hammer in extra ends. Thursday opens on different ground: para alpine at Tofane, ice hockey semifinals at the Santagiulia arena in Milan, and the Nordic calendar continuing at Tesero.

Giant Slalom Opens at Tofane

The para alpine program moves to giant slalom Thursday, with three medal events at the Tofane Alpine Skiing Centre in Cortina. Super-G and alpine combined have already run. Giant slalom uses two runs on the same course, combining times for the final result. Tighter gates and more technical turns than super-G make it a different test for every classification.

Laurie Stephens carries the U.S. flag at these Games and enters Thursday's GS in her sixth and final Winter Paralympics. Her first Games were at Sestriere in 2006, also in Italy, where she won two gold medals. She hasn't podiumed yet at Milano Cortina 2026, and slalom remains on her schedule after Thursday. Run 1 in the women's sitting category is at 4:00 AM ET on Peacock and USA Network. Run 2 is at 7:30 AM ET. The standing and visually impaired women's categories race the same day.

USA Hockey Into the Semifinals

Team USA closed the preliminary round 3-0 with a 34-2 goal differential. Declan Farmer scored a hat trick in each of three group games. In the final group session against China, Farmer pushed his career Paralympic point total to 58, passing Canadian Billy Bridges' all-time record. He also tied the Games record for goals in a single Paralympics at 11.

The U.S. faces Czechia in the semifinals at 9:35 AM ET on Peacock and USA Network. Czechia went 2-1 in Group B. Canada meets China in the other semifinal. A win puts the U.S. in the gold medal game on March 15. The team has won para ice hockey gold at four consecutive Winter Games. Canada, the only other country to win at a Winter Games, last did so in 2006.

Nordic Events at Tesero

Para cross-country and biathlon events continue at Tesero through the weekend, with middle-distance events Thursday and longer biathlon formats scheduled later in the week. Aaron Pike, an eight-time Paralympian with two individual world championship golds in biathlon, finished off the podium in Wednesday's 10km sitting event. His strongest results on the world circuit come in the 12.5km and longer formats, which are still ahead on the Games calendar.

Where to Watch

Para alpine giant slalom run 1 starts at 4:00 AM ET on Peacock and USA Network, with run 2 at 7:30 AM ET. Ice hockey semis begin at 9:35 AM ET on both networks. NBC primetime at 8:00 PM ET covers the day's results and highlights. The full streaming and broadcast breakdown is at the how-to-watch guide.

Thursday has two of the Games' main storylines running at the same time: Stephens in the mountain, Farmer in the arena.
