A Time To Be Grateful

Thanksgiving is a time to be grateful for all the good things in our lives. We can be thankful for our families, our friends, our health, our homes, and all the other blessings we enjoy. Let's take a moment to count our blessings and give thanks for all the good things in our lives.

Thanksgiving And Autism

Thanksgiving can be a difficult time of year for families with autistic members. The holiday is typically full of loud noises, bright lights and lots of people, which can be overwhelming for someone on the autism spectrum. Here are a few tips to make Thanksgiving a little easier for everyone:

-Plan ahead and make sure your autistic family member knows what to expect. This might mean sitting down with them a few days before Thanksgiving and going over the schedule for the day.

-Try to create a calm environment. This means keeping noise and light levels to a minimum, and having a quiet space available if things get too overwhelming.

-Make sure there are plenty of breaks available, both for your family member with autism and for everyone else. Sometimes all it takes is a few minutes in a quiet room to regroup and come back feeling better.

A Time To Be Thankful

Thanksgiving is a time to be thankful for what we have. We can be thankful for our families, our friends, our homes, and all the good things in our lives. We can also be thankful for the challenges we have faced and overcome. Thanksgiving is a time to remember that we are strong and capable people who can make it through anything. So let's take a moment to be thankful for all the good things in our lives, big and small.
