Christen Kraemer

Christen Kraemer, LPC, provides specialized counseling for toddlers, children, preteens, and teens in the Pittsburgh area who are navigating ADHD, anxiety, autism, and developmental disorders. Her practice focuses on helping young people manage big emotions and understand how they manifest physically, specifically addressing challenges related to emotional regulation, behavioral issues, and learning disabilities.

Using a child-led, play-based therapy approach, Christen creates a safe environment where children do not have to "get it right." Her sessions are relationship-based, focusing on building coping skills and emotional awareness through connection. She also provides essential support for caregivers, helping parents understand the underlying causes of difficult behaviors so they can feel more confident, steady, and less reactive during challenging moments at home.

Services are available both in-person in Pittsburgh and via telehealth to accommodate family needs. Christen is currently accepting new clients and accepts Highmark insurance. Her practice is inclusive and provides an allied space for LGBTQ+ youth and families.
