Abby Mcgillivray

Abby Mcgillivray is a Board Certified Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with 30 years of experience specializing in psychotherapy and integrative wellness. She provides support for children, adults, and families navigating complex challenges, including developmental disorders, education and learning disabilities, and neurodiverse life transitions. Her practice focuses on helping individuals manage anxiety, depression, and the unique stressors associated with dual diagnoses and family mental health.

Utilizing an evidence-based, mind-body approach, Abby incorporates TransEgo Therapy, CBT, and mindfulness to help clients manage emotional triggers and develop effective coping skills. Her toolkit includes stress reduction techniques such as meditation, relaxation, and qigong, which can be particularly helpful for those managing chronic pain or sensory sensitivities. As a Certified Practitioner of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, she also helps individuals understand their personality strengths to better navigate social and school environments.

While Abby is not currently accepting new counseling clients, she remains available for Reiki sessions, workshops, and classes focused on integrated wellness. She offers in-person services in Malvern, PA, and accepts various insurance plans including BlueCross BlueShield, Aetna, Cigna, and Medicare.
