Derik Berkebile

Derik Berkebile, LCSW, is a highly experienced social worker with over 25 years of professional practice, including several years as a professor of Social Work. He specializes in supporting individuals and families navigating complex neurodevelopmental and mental health challenges, including ADHD, Autism-related behavioral issues, ODD, and various personality disorders. His extensive background includes working with adolescents, preteens, and adults facing emotional disturbances, trauma, PTSD, and dual diagnoses.

Utilizing evidence-based therapeutic models, Derik integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, and is certified in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). His approach is highly collaborative; rather than simply talking, he works jointly with clients to establish meaningful, measurable goals. This ensures that families and individuals can see tangible proof of progress throughout the course of treatment, making therapy a structured and results-oriented process.

Services are available through both in-person visits in Johnstown, PA, and via telehealth/online sessions for greater accessibility.
