Laurance Orr

Laurance Orr, MSW/LGSW, provides compassionate, trauma-informed counseling specifically designed to support neurodivergent individuals, youth, and families. Specializing in the unique needs of the special needs community, Laurance has extensive experience working with autism, ADHD, intellectual disabilities, and neurodivergence. His approach focuses on creating a safe, judgment-free space for managing behavioral challenges, emotional regulation, and the complexities of navigating life with different learning and processing styles.

Beyond neurodiversity, Laurance offers support for a wide range of clinical needs, including anxiety, trauma/PTSD, family conflict, and crisis intervention. He works with a diverse age range—from toddlers and children to teens and adults—helping clients and their families navigate stress, grief, and significant life transitions. Whether addressing school issues or managing intense emotional struggles, his goal is to empower clients through a supportive, person-centered therapeutic process.

Services are available through both in-person visits in Charleston, WV, and via telehealth/online therapy for greater accessibility. Laurance is currently accepting new clients and accepts a variety of insurance plans, including Medicaid, Medicare, Aetna, Cigna, Humana, and UnitedHealthcare. His practice is dedicated to helping families find stability, growth, and wellness through a warm and understanding therapeutic relationship.
