Lauryn Kalka

Lauryn Kalka is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over 15 years of experience providing specialized mental health support to children, teens, young adults, and families. She brings extensive expertise from diverse settings, including foster care, adoption, residential treatment, and school-based mental health. Her practice is particularly well-suited for families navigating complex challenges such as ADHD, learning disabilities, trauma/PTSD, ODD (Oppositional Defiance), and emotional disturbances.

Recognizing that traditional talk therapy may not work for every child, Lauryn utilizes a multi-modal approach tailored to each individual's unique needs. For younger clients, she incorporates art, play, and music therapy techniques to facilitate engagement and expression. Her clinical toolkit also includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused therapy, and Motivational Interviewing to help clients develop effective coping skills and achieve personalized goals.

Lauryn provides a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment for all identities, including LGBTQ+ individuals and those navigating racial justice issues. She offers both in-person and telehealth services in Pittsburgh, PA, and is currently accepting new clients.
