Michelle McMillan

Michelle McMillan, LCSW, provides compassionate and collaborative mental health support for adults navigating complex life transitions, anxiety, depression, and neurodivergent-related challenges. With a Master of Social Work in Child Welfare from UC Berkeley, she brings a deep understanding of family dynamics and developmental impacts to her practice. Her approach is highly adaptable, utilizing CBT, DBT, and strength-based methods to help clients build practical coping skills and manage ADHD, behavioral issues, and chronic illness.

The therapeutic environment is centered on active listening and a non-judgmental, patient presence. Michelle specializes in addressing a wide range of interconnected issues, including grief, trauma, family conflict, and the stressors associated with chronic pain or neurodiversity. Services are available through both in-person sessions in San Leandro, CA, and via telehealth/online therapy. Michelle is currently accepting new clients and accepts a wide variety of insurance plans, including Aetna, Blue Cross, Cigna, and UnitedHealthcare.
