Susan Dixon

Susan Dixon, LCSW, provides specialized therapeutic support for children and adolescents aged 3 to 15 navigating neurodivergence and mental health challenges. She specializes in treating ADHD, OCD, selective mutism, anxiety, depression, and behavioral issues, including ODD. As a certified expert in early childhood interventions, she is highly skilled in helping children manage emotional regulation, coping with medical diagnoses, and navigating life transitions.

Recognizing that children communicate best through play, Susan utilizes a variety of specialized modalities including Play Therapy, Sand Tray, Art Therapy, CBT, DBT, and ERP. Her approach creates a safe, nonjudgmental, and fun environment where children feel comfortable processing complex feelings and experiences. She also incorporates Psychoeducation to empower families with the tools needed to support their child's development.

Susan offers both in-person and telehealth services and is currently accepting new clients. As a bilingual provider, she is fluent in both English and Spanish, offering culturally sensitive care to multicultural and Spanish-speaking families. With personal experience as a military spouse and a parent in a blended family, she brings a deep, empathetic understanding to the unique stressors facing modern families.
