Lakia Kearson

Dr. Lakia Kearson is a pediatric neuropsychologist specializing in comprehensive evaluations for children and adolescents. Her practice focuses on helping families understand complex learning, attention, social-emotional, and developmental needs. By identifying the underlying reasons why a child may be struggling, Dr. Kearson provides families with the clarity needed to move forward with actionable plans and meaningful next steps.

Through her practice, Neocortex Cottage, Dr. Kearson offers specialized expertise in evaluating ADHD, developmental disorders, learning disabilities, intellectual disabilities, and traumatic brain injury (TBI). Her approach is child-centered and relational, looking beyond test scores to understand the whole child-including their strengths and unique way of experiencing the world. She also provides support for medically complex disorders, including sickle cell disease and the impacts of cancer.

Dr. Kearson's evaluation process is designed to be a safe, supportive, and personal experience that avoids overwhelming families. With advanced training in medical, educational, and developmental neuropsychology, she works closely with individuals to ensure they feel seen and understood.
