Mary Ekdahl

Dr. Mary Ekdahl provides specialized psychological evaluation and treatment for children, preteens, and adolescents facing complex challenges. With over fifteen years of experience, she focuses on supporting families navigating learning disabilities, ADHD, Autism, Asperger's, and developmental disorders. Her approach is designed to help parents implement healthy, effective strategies that align with their family values while addressing disruptive behaviors, social skills deficits, and emotional disturbances.

As a co-founder of Arkansas Families First, Dr. Ekdahl utilizes an interdisciplinary team approach to provide comprehensive behavioral healthcare. The team includes psychologists, licensed social workers, professional counselors, a psychiatrist, and a nutritionist. Services are highly collaborative; Dr. Ekdahl can work directly with your child's existing therapists or physicians to provide evaluations that clarify diagnoses and refine treatment needs.

The practice offers a wide range of specialized supports, including individual, group, and family therapy, as well as school advocacy, medication management, and psychological testing. Whether addressing trauma, anxiety, ODD, or school-related issues, Dr. Ekdahl provides evidence-based care through both in-person and telehealth appointments. She is currently accepting new clients in the North Little Rock area.
