Stephan Hohlbaum

Stephan Hohlbaum, PsyD, LPC, is a Licensed Psychologist providing specialized support for adolescents (ages 13+), adults, couples, and families. He specializes in addressing complex needs including developmental disorders, intellectual disabilities, emotional disturbances, and trauma-related challenges such as PTSD and self-harming behaviors. His practice focuses on helping clients navigate anxiety, depression, and peer relationship difficulties through a compassionate, supportive lens.

The practice offers comprehensive psychological, psychoeducational, and neuropsychological evaluations to provide essential diagnostic clarity for families and students. These assessments include individualized recommendations and are conducted with close collaboration between families, schools, and other healthcare providers. Therapeutic approaches include trauma-informed care, psychodynamic and attachment-based therapy, and the integration of EMDR and DBT-informed strategies to assist with emotional regulation and trauma processing.

Services are available through in-person sessions at his Hummelstown, PA office, located behind the Penn State Hershey Medical Center. Dr. Hohlbaum is currently accepting new clients and accepts various insurance plans, including Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Highmark, and Independence Blue Cross.
