Tristan McAfee

Tristan McAfee, LPC, provides specialized counseling for adolescents and adults navigating neurodivergence and mental health challenges. The practice focuses on supporting individuals with Autism, ADHD, acquired disabilities, OCD, anxiety, depression, and various personality disorders. A key feature of this practice is the intentional creation of a sensory-friendly environment where sensory needs are considered and met to ensure client comfort.

Therapy is approached through a collaborative lens, utilizing Internal Family Systems (IFS), ACT, and DBT for individuals, and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for families. For families navigating the complexities of neurodivergence, Tristan offers family therapy specifically designed for teens and parents to overcome communication barriers and build mutual respect. The practice is deeply committed to being an ally to the LGBTQIA+ community and promoting racial justice, ensuring a safe, inclusive space for all backgrounds.

Beyond clinical therapy, Tristan offers valuable support through case management experience, assisting clients with applications for essential social services such as Medicaid, housing vouchers, and SNAP. Services are available via both in-person and telehealth appointments in Idaho Falls, ID. Many insurance plans are accepted, including Medicaid, Blue Cross, and Medicare, and the practice is currently accepting new clients.
