Academy of Scholastic Achievement is an alternative high school in Chicago serving students ages 16–21 who benefit from a non-traditional learning environment. The school specializes in supporting students with learning differences and ADD/ADHD, offering tailored academic instruction alongside personal and social development. With small class sizes (average 24 students) and experienced staff, ASA creates a structured, supportive setting for students who have struggled in conventional public schools.
The school provides a holistic, rigorous curriculum designed to help disconnected students re-engage with education and build the skills needed for graduation and post-secondary success. Staff work closely with each student to address individual learning needs and barriers to achievement. ASA also offers summer programming and extracurricular activities, including basketball, to foster student growth beyond the classroom.
As a state-accredited, non-profit public school founded in 1978 and a member of the Alternative Schools Network, ASA maintains a rolling admission policy with 100% acceptance rate for eligible students ages 16–21. The school serves grades 10–12 and welcomes students from diverse backgrounds seeking a second chance in education. Contact ASA at (773) 921-1315 or visit asaschool.org for enrollment information.
