Acton Academy Falls Church

Acton Academy Falls Church is a private, non-denominational Christian school with a partial Spanish immersion program for young learners. It's designed for independent, curious children who feel stifled by traditional school routines and want learning to feel meaningful, challenging, and connected to real life. Serving ages 3-15 (and growing), the school blends a Montessori-inspired early childhood environment with the Acton model, where students move at their own pace, set daily goals, and dive into projects that show why skills actually matter. Instead of memorizing content for tests or completing repetitive homework, learners work toward mastery and demonstrate their growth through public exhibitions: real presentations of their work, ideas, and problem-solving. Mixed-age studios, Socratic discussions, and a culture of personal responsibility help students build confidence, ownership, and a strong sense of purpose. Our Acton has a very close communication with each of our school families about their learner's progress and happenings, while involving the learner in the process to increase their ownership of their journey.
