Allegro School

Founded in 1989, Allegro School is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing specialized education and support for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder across their lifespan. Serving students from grades 3 through 21, the school focuses on delivering high-quality instruction that keeps students connected to their families while preparing them for successful community living.

As an Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) focused school, Allegro utilizes an interdisciplinary approach to meet each child's unique needs. Educational programming is a collaborative effort between teachers, occupational therapists, speech and language pathologists, and behavioral staff. All instruction is individualized and aligned with the New Jersey Student Learning Standards, ensuring that therapeutic services and developmental supports are integrated directly into the academic experience.

Beyond the classroom, Allegro emphasizes functional daily living and vocational training to prepare students for post-graduation life. Programs such as Food Service, Greenhouse, and Community Based Instruction provide hands-on opportunities for middle and high school students to develop essential life skills. Additionally, the school supports the entire family unit through parent training, respite services, and specialized adult services.
