Cardinal Cushing Centers

Since 1947, Cardinal Cushing Centers has served children and adults with developmental, intellectual, behavioral, and mental health needs across the full spectrum of functioning levels. Located on two campuses in Hanover, MA, the center offers a nurturing, innovative environment where students receive individualized programs designed to foster success, personal fulfillment, and shared happiness. With rolling admissions and a nonsectarian approach, the center welcomes a diverse population seeking specialized support.

The curriculum spans educational, prevocational, vocational, day, and residential programs, supported by a full complement of therapies including physical, speech, occupational, art, and music therapies. Students benefit from adaptive physical education, recreation, and community employment opportunities, while on-site vocational programs include The Sister's Inn, Bass Village Café, Consignment Shop, Bottle Redemption Center, Culinary Arts, and The Cushing Trader.

Offering grades 7-12 with an average class size of 10, the center provides a continuum of learning experiences tailored to each student's unique goals. Beyond academics, students participate in a wide range of sports and extracurricular activities such as basketball, swimming, track, and ballet.
