Crossroad Academy

Crossroad Academy is an alternative school in Fort Wayne, Indiana, specifically designed for students who struggle in traditional classroom settings. Located on the Crossroad Child & Family Services campus, the school serves grades 1–12 with exceptional small class sizes (average 10 students) that enable personalized attention and relationship-building. The school is accredited by the Indiana Department of Education and AdvancED (now Cognia).

The academy specializes in supporting students with learning differences and ADD/ADHD through certified special education teachers, trained Youth and Family Specialists for behavior support, and evidence-based instructional methods. The curriculum uses Project Approach instruction—a student-driven model that incorporates multiple core subjects to engage learners—combined with a structured Behavior Incentive program that provides daily feedback on behavior and learning goals. This combination helps students develop both academic skills and self-regulation strategies needed to succeed.

Facilities include a gym, cafeteria, computer lab, media center, and playground to support a well-rounded experience. Enrollment is rolling, and tuition assistance may be available through the Indiana Choice Scholarship program.
