Downtown Baltimore Child Care Inc. is a nonprofit early childhood program serving infants through pre-K in a diverse, inclusive community setting. The center offers specialized support for children with learning differences and ADD/ADHD, with decisions made on a case-by-case basis to meet individual learning needs. With 27 classroom teachers serving 80 students, the program emphasizes small group sizes and individualized attention to support each child's development.
The curriculum uses play-based, interactive learning to foster physical, social, intellectual, and emotional development. The center provides enrichment through arts and music programs, including weekly Wolf Trap Musician sessions. Staff work collaboratively to create an environment where children with varying abilities learn together, with classroom activities tailored to support children with different developmental needs and learning styles.
Tuition ranges from $1,343 to $1,933 per month depending on age group, with 22% of families receiving financial aid (average grant $7,554). Rolling admissions are available, and summer programming is offered. For questions about accommodations or support for your child's specific needs, contact Director Lorien Walley-Rund or Admissions Associate Brittany James at (410) 659-0515.
