East Los Angeles Occupational Center

East Los Angeles Occupational Center (ELAOC) has been providing high-quality adult education and career training since 1969 as part of the Los Angeles Unified School District's Division of Adult and Career Education. The center serves young adults and adults (ages 18+) with low-cost programs designed to help working learners achieve personal and career goals through language acquisition and academic pathways.

ELAOC offers extensive Career Technical Education (CTE) courses accredited by WASC and JRCERT, including specialized tracks in Business & Finance, Energy & Utilities, and Health Sciences. The center provides comprehensive support services such as disability support services, veterans/military support, and online class assistance, ensuring students with diverse needs have access to the resources they require to succeed.

Classes are offered in mornings, evenings, and on Saturdays with open enrollment to accommodate working adults. ELAOC operates multiple campuses, including the main campus at 2100 Marengo Street, the East Los Angeles Skills Center, and the Eastside Learning Center, making it accessible to families and students across the region seeking specialized adult education and vocational training.
