Fall River Deaconess Home School

At the Fall River Deaconess Home, the educational curriculum for grades 7 through 12 is developed in strict accordance with the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks. With only 20 students and 3 classroom teachers, the school ensures that goals and objectives are specifically supported by purchased textbooks, conforming to state standards while providing a highly individualized learning environment.

The school's primary mission is to prepare students for successful transitions to less-restrictive public school settings. The program uses a gradual reintegration model, starting with single classes and progressing to full-time public school participation. Every student's educational and career plan is actively supported through courses in vocational training, certification programs, high school or college coursework, and community resource exploration.

As a nonsectarian institution founded in 1893, the Deaconess Home serves an all-girls student body with 61% students of color.
