Family Partnership Correspondence School

Family Partnership Correspondence School (FPCS) is a long-standing, Anchorage-based home school serving as a bridge between homeschooling families and formal education. As a public school within the Anchorage School District, FPCS uses a lottery system where every student who enters is guaranteed a spot. The program operates on a year-round schedule from July 1 to June 30, offering distance and online learning options.

Each family is partnered with a certified sponsor teacher to create personalized learning plans aligned with Alaska State Standards. FPCS provides specialized support through Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), special education services, and developmental support. The curriculum can be adapted to meet specific therapeutic or academic needs. High school students can access the Early College Program for dual enrollment at UAA, UAF online, and BYU, earning both high school and college transcripts.

Enrolled students receive an annual district allotment, ranging from $4,000 to $4,500 based on grade level, to assist with approved curriculum and essential educational services.
