Frontier Charter School

Frontier Charter School is a parent-directed K-12 program serving families within the Anchorage School District. The school offers highly flexible learning models-including traditional homeschooling, blended learning with local public schools or colleges, and a traveling learner path for student-athletes-allowing parents to design an educational experience tailored to their child's unique needs and lifestyle.

For families navigating special education, Frontier provides dedicated support through a specialized staff member and a separate IEP support advisor. The school has also funded structured dyslexia interventions, such as the Barton program, for enrolled students. These resources are complemented by significant funding allotments that families can direct toward curriculum, instructional vendors, fine arts, and physical education to support their child's specific developmental goals.

As a Purple Star School, Frontier is uniquely equipped to support military families with an on-staff military liaison. The program provides access to Anchorage School District classes, NCAA-approved curriculum, and the ability to earn an Anchorage School District high school diploma.
