Handprints Academy

Handprints Academy provides a specialized educational environment for K-5 students whose academic and behavioral needs require more support than a traditional classroom can offer. The academy focuses on a relationship-based approach, prioritizing trust and communication to foster meaningful growth across all developmental areas.

The program integrates individualized academics with essential therapeutic and behavioral supports in a small, nurturing setting. Classrooms are led by licensed Special Education Teachers and include 1:1 Instructional Assistant support. To help reduce barriers to learning, Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) are embedded within the program to implement Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) strategies and teach new functional skills.

Operating with a trauma-informed care model, Handprints Academy recognizes that behavior is a form of communication and emphasizes creating a sense of safety for every student. The academy works collaboratively with families and school districts to support transitions, whether a student is preparing to return to a home school, move to a less restrictive setting, or continue building independence within the program.
