Home Instruction Schools, part of the NYC Department of Education's District 75, provides essential K-12 educational services for students unable to attend traditional classrooms due to orthopedic, medical, or psychiatric conditions. This interim program is specifically designed to mitigate the educational impact of extended absences, typically lasting four weeks or more, ensuring students remain connected to their learning journey despite physical or medical barriers.

The program offers a flexible and compassionate approach to learning across all five boroughs of New York City. With a low student-teacher ratio, educators implement specialized methodologies and personalized instruction to support diverse learning profiles, including students with language-based learning disabilities and twice-exceptional (2e) learners. The curriculum is designed to integrate seamlessly with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and can include developmental and therapeutic support.
