J. Wilkins Opportunity School

J. Wilkins Opportunity School is a specialized special education program of Griffith Centers, serving students in grades 3 through 12. The school is specifically designed to support students who are at high risk of academic disconnection due to trauma, neglect, or abuse, providing a safe and compassionate environment for healing and learning.

The school utilizes a therapeutic model that integrates academics with comprehensive wraparound services. Students benefit from a trauma-informed care approach that pairs classroom instruction with day treatment, individual therapy, and family therapy. This integrated setting is designed to help students achieve emotional regulation and academic stability through specialized interventions and developmental support.

Through its connection to Griffith Centers' residential and PRTF programming, the school can also address higher-acuity needs for students requiring more intensive support. J.
