Jenison Robotics Center

Jenison Robotics Center provides a dynamic, hands-on STEM environment for students in grades 4-12, specifically designed to engage learners with varying abilities. The program focuses on developing essential problem-solving, creativity, and technical skills through robotics competitions, offering a supportive space where students with different learning styles can thrive through tactile, project-based learning.

The program utilizes VEX IQ Challenges for younger students and VEX Robotics Competitions for older students, fostering teamwork and social development. With a focus on individualized support, the center integrates elements of developmental and special needs support, helping students build confidence as they design, build, and program their robots. The environment is structured to encourage collaboration and peer interaction in a way that accommodates diverse neurodiverse needs, including support for IEP goals and developmental milestones.

A key strength of the program is its inclusive community, featuring volunteer parent coaches who provide personalized mentorship and guidance. This high level of parental engagement and community involvement ensures that each student receives the encouragement necessary to reach their full potential, with some teams even qualifying for the VEX Robotics World Championship.
