JLSA is an alternative school in Apex, NC serving gifted and exceptional learners, including students with autism, ADD/ADHD, dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, and other learning differences. Using a multi-sensory, experiential learning approach, JLSA combines a strong core curriculum aligned with NC standards with advanced coursework, early high school/college credit classes, and pre-vocational training. Students develop gross and fine motor skills, communication, and social skills through art, music, dance, theater, outdoor education, and yoga. JLSA serves K-12 students on a rolling admissions basis. Tuition is $16,900 for K-8 and $18,450 for 9-12. The school fosters long-term friendships and inclusive learning for both gifted and exceptional learners, helping students develop dynamic thinking skills and become their best selves.
