Loma Vista Community School

Loma Vista Community School, part of the Early Learning Centers (ELCs) in San Luis Obispo County, provides high-quality, no-cost preschool services for children aged 3 to 5. The program is fully inclusive, specifically welcoming children with various needs, including those with Individualized Education Programs (IEP) or Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSP).

Using a play-based learning model, the curriculum focuses on social-emotional growth, cognitive skills, and language literacy. To support students requiring extra assistance, the ELCs emphasize developmental and therapeutic services, such as motor skill development and sensory-friendly activities. Low student-teacher ratios ensure personalized attention and specialized instruction tailored to each child's unique developmental path.

With eight locations across the county—including Atascadero, Grover Beach, Nipomo, Oceano, Paso Robles, and San Miguel—the ELCs provide accessible support for low to moderate-income families. Beyond the classroom, the program offers dental and vision screenings, parent education programs, and a Parent Advisory Council to foster community partnership and support the whole family.
