Our Place After School Program

Our Place After School Program is a dedicated resource for teens and young adults aged 13 to 20 with special needs, including those navigating language-based learning disabilities and developmental challenges. Serving the Lincoln and Omaha areas, the program focuses on fostering independence, social skills, and community integration through a highly supportive and nurturing environment.

The program offers a variety of therapeutic and developmental activities, ranging from creative crafting and games to vocational skill development. A standout feature is the Freedom Factory, a retail space where participants can gain practical work experience by selling items made by themselves and local artists. During the summer, the program expands to full-day programming, offering gardening, academic enrichment, and field trips to help participants explore new interests and reinforce learning.

With a low student-to-teacher ratio, Our Place ensures personalized attention and a strong commitment to family partnerships.
