Perkins School For The Blind

Perkins School for the Blind provides a comprehensive continuum of services for children and young adults with visual impairments, CVI, deafblindness, and CHARGE. Serving students from birth through age 22, Perkins focuses on helping students unlock their potential through the Expanded Core Curriculum. This specialized curriculum ensures students access core academics while simultaneously acquiring the essential social and independent living skills necessary for their development.

The school offers a highly specialized learning environment with an average class size of just 4 students, allowing for intensive, individualized support. Beyond the classroom, Perkins provides a wide range of therapeutic and developmental resources, including assistive technology solutions, comprehensive evaluations, and specialized programs for students with additional disabilities, such as ADD/ADHD. Their campus features unique opportunities like the Grousbeck Center for Students and Technology, along with diverse extracurriculars including goalball, swimming, and music programs.
