Philip J Rock Center & School

The Philip J. Rock Center and School is a specialized educational institution serving children and young adults aged three to twenty-two who experience both hearing and vision disabilities. As the only publicly funded residential school for Deaf-Blind students in the United States, it provides a highly specialized environment focused on fostering independence and helping each student thrive according to their unique abilities.

The school offers a comprehensive range of integrated therapeutic services and specialized programs tailored to individual needs. Students benefit from access to Occupational Therapy, Physical Education, Speech and Language services, and essential Orientation and Mobility training. These supports are designed to work alongside academic instruction to promote developmental progress and life skills.

With a low student-teacher ratio, the center ensures personalized attention and fosters strong partnerships with families. The curriculum extends beyond the classroom through enriching community outings that enhance real-world learning.
