Preston Hollow Presbyterian School has specialized in educating students with learning differences for over 60 years. Located in Dallas, PHPS serves bright children in kindergarten through 6th grade who have mild to moderate learning disabilities, including dyslexia, auditory processing disorder, oral and written language disorders, and mathematical disabilities. The school is intentionally small—with an average class size of just 9 students and 30 teachers—to ensure every child receives individualized attention and support.
The school's curriculum is built on research-based, multi-sensory instruction designed to remediate academic weaknesses while keeping students engaged and challenged. Students are organized into smaller, skill-based groups for core academic subjects and receive prescriptive remediation tailored to their specific learning needs. Beyond academics, PHPS offers sports including basketball and track and field, plus enrichment through chess club, arts, music programs, and after-school activities. The faculty is highly qualified, with 75% holding advanced degrees.
PHPS aims to equip students with the tools and confidence to transition back to mainstream education as soon as they are ready. Tuition is $27,300 annually (plus enrollment and supply fees), with rolling admissions.
