Therapeutic residential school for teens ages 12–17 with behavioral, emotional, or academic struggles
Project Patch School is a licensed and accredited therapeutic residential treatment program serving boys and girls ages 12–17 who are struggling emotionally, behaviorally, or academically. Designed specifically for teens with learning differences and ADD/ADHD, Project Patch provides intensive support in a small, structured environment with a student-to-teacher ratio that enables personalized attention and intervention.
The school combines academics (grades 6–12) with therapeutic programming and life skills development. Staff hold advanced degrees and are trained to work with adolescents facing emotional or behavioral challenges. The program emphasizes hope, resilience, and practical skills through a mix of classroom instruction, community service, arts and music (including guitar lessons and woodworking), and recreational activities like hiking, rafting, and weightlifting. The casual dress code and Christian values create a supportive, low-pressure environment.
Project Patch accepts most major insurance plans, including Tricare and select Medicaid plans, making treatment accessible to military families and low-income households. Admission is rolling with no set deadline. For more information or to discuss whether Project Patch is a fit for your teen, contact Whitney Mestelle, the admissions director, at (360) 690-8495 or visit projectpatch.org.
