Schroth School

Schroth School is a New Jersey Department of Education-approved special education school serving prekindergarten through 12th-grade students. The school specializes in supporting students with developmental and multiple physical disabilities, providing a highly structured and supportive environment tailored to complex needs.

The school utilizes a transdisciplinary team approach to implement each student's Individualized Education Plan (IEP). This collaborative team includes certified teachers, physical, occupational, and speech therapists, nurses, social workers, and art and music teachers. Together with the student's family and the local district's Child Study Team, this group assesses needs, determines specific goals, and continuously monitors progress to ensure maximum physical, educational, and emotional development.

To support consistent learning, students may participate in extended school year programs ranging from two to five days per week, with schedules determined by the student's educational team. These programs are NJDOE-approved, and funding is typically provided by the student's referring local school district. The school offers a rich variety of educational, recreational, and special summer activities designed to foster both growth and enjoyment.
