For over 50 years, Shared Services has served as a Cooperative Education Service Center providing dedicated support to students with diverse learning needs across Northwestern Connecticut. Serving learners from preschool through high school and transitional placements, the center specializes in supporting students with language-based learning disabilities and twice-exceptional (2e) learners.
The center offers highly specialized programs, including the Achieving Independence Mechanism (AIM), the Bridges program for gifted and talented students, and the Learning Independence, New Knowledge and Skills (LINKS) program. These initiatives focus on empowering students with essential life skills, academic knowledge, and developmental support through integrated therapeutic services and individualized education programs (IEPs).
