South Education Center

South Education Center, part of Intermediate District 287, provides specialized educational services for students with a wide range of disabilities, including language-based learning disabilities and twice-exceptional (2e) learners. Serving students from grades 9 through 12 and young adults up to age 22, the center focuses on fostering an inclusive environment where academic and personal growth are prioritized through highly individualized instruction.

The school utilizes Alternative Learning Centers to implement a personalized approach that meets students at their specific skill levels, helping them build confidence and essential life skills. For students requiring more intensive support, the Care & Treatment programs provide continuity of education within hospital and residential settings.
