Spectra School

Spectra School provides specialized individualized education and day treatment for neurodiverse students in grades K-12 who face social, emotional, or behavioral challenges. The school focuses on a mission of reintegration, working in close partnership with home school districts to prepare students for a successful return to their local educational environments.

The curriculum is built upon the Colorado Academic Standards and is uniquely guided by each student's Individualized Education Program (IEP) through an Interdisciplinary Intervention Model. To ensure targeted support, students are grouped for core academic classes based on their specific learning needs in the mornings, while afternoon electives are organized by functional level. A summer program is also available to help students maintain essential skills and routines year-round.

Spectra School is dedicated to highlighting the unique talents and abilities of every student, fostering an environment where they can lead meaningful lives. Students may remain in the program anywhere from one semester to several years, staying until the IEP team and data-driven progress indicate that reintegration into their home district is the appropriate next step.
