Stephen Moody Complex

The Stephen Moody Complex is an Albuquerque Public Schools specialty school serving students from pre-kindergarten through age 22 with significant special needs. The program is specifically designed to support students who are medically fragile, have autism, or require intensive developmental and therapeutic services.

The facility is purpose-built for this population, featuring specialized resources such as a sensory room for student resets, assistive technology, and dedicated autism supports. Comprehensive services available at the complex include mental health support, provisions for sensory impairments, and administration of homebound and interim alternative educational settings. The site also facilitates the Child Find process to assist in identifying and evaluating children with suspected disabilities.

Placement at the Stephen Moody Complex is determined by a student's IEP team rather than a traditional application process; the decision is based on whether the complex is the most appropriate setting for the child's specific needs. As part of Albuquerque Public Schools, there is no tuition for students, and the school follows the standard district calendar.
