STEPP PROGRAM

The STEPP Program, part of the Tahoe-Truckee Unified School District (TTUSD), provides a specialized educational environment for students in TK through 5th grade. The program is specifically designed to support students with diverse learning needs, including those with language-based learning disabilities and twice-exceptional (2e) learners. By focusing on both academic rigor and social-emotional well-being, the program ensures that students with special needs receive the targeted instruction necessary to reach their full potential.

The program utilizes a holistic approach that blends academic instruction with therapeutic methodologies and developmental support. Through the implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and specialized services, educators provide personalized attention tailored to each child's unique learning profile. The district emphasizes low student-teacher ratios to enhance individualized instruction and foster strong, supportive relationships between students, educators, and families.

Beyond the classroom, the STEPP Program enriches the student experience through collaborative outdoor learning, such as the Trails & Vistas Dreaming Tree Field Trips, and community-focused events like the annual Child Development Conference.
