The Diener School

The Diener School provides a nurturing and inclusive educational environment designed to support the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development of children. As a specialized program, the school explicitly includes children with special needs, fostering a community that accepts all races, creeds, and national origins.

The school offers a developmentally appropriate curriculum for grades Kindergarten through 8, with an emphasis on small class sizes averaging 12 students. The experienced teaching staff, all of whom are college graduates with degrees in education or significant field experience, participate in ongoing yearly training to enhance their effectiveness in supporting diverse learning needs and individual student strengths.

Located in Potomac, MD, the school operates with a rolling admissions process. While the program is part of the Har Shalom Early Childhood Education Center and incorporates Jewish identity and heritage, it maintains an inclusive atmosphere for all families. Summer school options are also available to support continued learning.
