The Jardine Academy

The Jardine Academy is a specialized special education school in Union, NJ, approved by the New Jersey Department of Education and Middle States Accredited. The Academy provides a comprehensive educational program specifically designed to meet the cognitive and physical needs of children with multiple disabilities—needs that may not be fully addressed within a traditional local school system.

The curriculum is student-centered and focuses on essential functional skills, including self-care, health and fitness, interpersonal skills, mobility, and functional academics. A key feature of the program is the use of the Mobility Options Via Education Curriculum, delivered by certified faculty and staff, which utilizes proven methods to help physically challenged students work toward sitting, standing, and walking.

To support each student's unique development, the Academy offers integrated support services such as Nursing, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech and Language Therapy, and Social Work. These services are designed to enhance a student's ability to participate fully in all educational opportunities within a supportive, nonsectarian environment.
