The Midland School

The Midland School provides a comprehensive special education program for students ages 3 to 21 with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The school specifically supports learners classified as autistic, cognitively impaired, communication impaired, and multiply disabled. Located on a 57-acre campus in central New Jersey, the environment is purpose-built to meet the unique needs of students referred by public school districts across New Jersey and parts of Pennsylvania.

The curriculum is centered on research-based strategies and multi-sensory instructional techniques, with a strong emphasis on positive behavioral support. To ensure each student reaches their highest level of achievement and independence, the school focuses on the implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). On-site therapeutic services are integrated into the school day, including occupational therapy, physical therapy, speech and language therapy, counseling, and health services.

With over 60 years of experience, Midland offers a continuous support system that spans from early childhood through adulthood.
