Third Way Center

Third Way Center provides a comprehensive continuum of care for vulnerable adolescents and their families in the metro Denver area. The center specializes in supporting youth who have experienced trauma, offering a home-like residential environment integrated with specialized clinical treatment and educational services designed to foster healing and stability.

Educational needs are met through the Joan Farley Academy, which operates two state-approved facility schools. The academy is staffed by licensed Master's-level special education teachers, school social workers, and counselors specifically trained to support traumatized youth. Through small class sizes, experiential learning, and vocational partnerships, the program helps students work toward a high school diploma or GED, with 80% of eligible students successfully earning their credentials.

The center utilizes a trauma-informed philosophy and the Six Boxes methodology to address the neurological impacts of trauma. Clinical care is paired with therapeutic practices such as meditation, sound therapy, and yoga to help students regulate and heal. This integrated approach ensures that students are emotionally supported so they can focus on academic growth, developmental support, and building a healthy future.
